Many people limit themselves in capability. They are trained to think if they are prone to being left-brained, they aren’t likely to be skilled at something requiring the right.
They think if they are a mathematician they can’t be a painter. Or if they do paint, it should be confined to a hobby, an ugly word used to belittle passions.
Even people intrigued by two things that are similar are often broken down and pressured to choose a single path.
